As snow covers Red Square in a dusty coat of white, Muscovites head indoors, slinging off fur coats and cashmere scarves to take up seats on wooden benches leaning against cherry trees in full bloom.
Springtime in November?
It is at the luxury center GUM, where the faux cherry blossoms are a subtle reference to the Bosco di Ciliegi group, which owns the GUM chain and whose name translates to “cherry wood.”
