After the hit that was Ombre Rose launched in 1981, milliner Jean-Charles Brosseau continued to issue feminine perfumes that were linked to the original Ombre Rose by an olfactory floral theme and the metaphor of the shade in the series entitled Fleurs D’Ombre (Flowers of the Shade or Shadow).

Estée Lauder have introduced a new flanker to Pure White Linen, itself a modernized, more transparent version of White Linen. The new addition, as always fronted by actress Gwyneth Paltrow, is called Pure White Linen Light Breeze and is described as a sparkling citrus and floral.

Midnight Poison by Christian Dior is the fifth perfume in the Poison collection since 1985. It comes after Poison (1985), Tendre Poison (1994), Hypnotic Poison (1998), and Pure Poison (2004). It was one of the most prestigious launches of 2007 as if in an attempt to recapture the glamor of the golden age of perfumery — modeled after the golden age of Hollywood — a reminder of the era of mega launches such as those of the original Poison or Opium or Trésor when such means were deployed that a perfume could become the center of attention for an enduring period.
