The Fashion House, a stable for the design, manufacturing, and licensing of women’s designer footwear led by John Hanna, a veteran in the footwear industry, spans three decades. Hanna started with Bertie of London Shoe Company in the late 1970s/early 1980s.
The company quickly gained a reputation for high fashion, high quality design and was punctuated with the innovative debut of an updated ballet flat that still resonates today, as well as, reappears on the runway season after season. Prior to The Fashion House, Hanna founded First Billisimo, Inc. which sheltered a wide diversity of couture brands, including Phillip Alexander, through the millennium. In 2002, The Fashion House was established and acquired their first license for Nicole Miller New York, which then opened the doors to obtain notable and thriving brands such as Richard Tyler Footwear and tyler.
