With the year coming to an end and 2007 just around the corner, local retail trend analysts at the Samsung Fashion Institute recently named the top 10 issues in the fashion industry in 2006.
They are as follows:
1. Fashion Enterprises Give Back
More efforts to give back to society were made by fashion enterprises in 2006 with proceeds of sales being donated to local charities and companies launching campaigns promoting awareness of terminal illnesses and poverty.
Earlier this year fashion designer Jung Kuho launched the “Heart for Eye’’ project to restore eyesight to visually impaired children. Jung and four other celebrities created a limited edition of shirts and used the proceeds to sponsor children in need of surgery.
