• “Lots of sheen this party season is hot,” says Svay. For shimmery skin, she likes working with M.A.C’s creme color bases. “They give a healthy glow, without looking oily and can be used on the lips and cheeks.

• What’s out? Glitter.

• Want to bump your makeup to the next level ? Pick a lip gloss a few shades darker than what you normally wear. “The holidays is a great time to experiment,” she says. “If the color doesn’t work for everyday, it was all in the mood of the season.”
